JISC and Oxford Journals (part of the Oxford University Press) signed an agreement that British Higher Education institutes will get free access to about 300.000 scholarly articles from something like 140 journals that cover a large number of disciplines. This archive allows full text searches too. The agreement is a consequence of a digitization project that Oxford Journals recently started.
The cost reduction is significant. Without this agreement each institute would have to pay around 120.000 Euros for this archive (that is, if they were interested in having it all).
